Diriliş: Ertuğrul’s Turgut Alp Happy to Work in a Pakistani Project!

Cengiz Coşkun who plays Turgut Alp in the Turkish series Diriliş: Ertuğrul, went live with Waseem Badami on ARY News for a candid interview, on Monday, which started with Waseem Badami and Cengiz Coskun exchanging Eid greetings. The conversation quickly drifted towards his personal life, revealing that Coskun is still unmarried but committed.

He also thanked PM Imran Khan for supporting the show publicly and deciding to dub it in Urdu for our local audiences. Upon being asked about his expectations from the project prior to its inception, the Turgut Alp actor said that when the series’ team started working on the project, a number of people said that they cannot finish this project but the project not only became a reality but a massive hit too. he had expected the show to be popular in Muslim countries but was surprised at the appreciation it received in Pakistan.

Responding to one of Badami’s signature Masoomana Sawal, the actor revealed that he learnt about his popularity in Pakistan through Instagram where he received a number of “marriage proposals”. This response, naturally, amused both Waseem Badami & former cricketer Shahid Afridi.

Amid conversation the actor expressed a keenness to taste the traditional Pakistani dish ‘Biryani’ if he gets a chance to visit the country. He also shared with his fans that he would be delighted to work on a Pakistani project if such an offer is extended.

the interview concluded with him expressing his love for his Pakistani fans with the words, “Dil Dil Pakistan, Jan Jan Pakistan!”

To be very honest, contrary to what some celebrities believe, bringing in international talent would be a great opportunity for our industry to expand its audience and get global recognition for more of its projects.
