However, things have taken a turn for the worst now and the channel is going through a really tough and distressing time as it has been the only channel in Pakistan right now that has been working for the well-being of the people and for the freedom of information.
The journey that started from Cypher and is continuing with the Azadi march, BOL partook in the struggle with all its means and never turned its back whatever the circumstances were.
BOL News was forced to leave its employees – Sami Ibrahim and Jameel Farooqui – in their dark times as FIRs were registered against them but the channel never let them go through all alone. The channel made it clear that it has been in thick and thin with its employees and also issued a press release in this regard underscoring the policy of the channel of not expelling the employees on the wish of anyone.

During the distressing time for journalism in Pakistan, when nearly all the media outlets stepped back only BOL was the one channel that kept standing in the storm and supporting the journalists like Shaheed Arshad Sharif, and Sabir Shakir.
The channel gave the platform to the journalists like Imran Riaz Khan, Makhdom Shahabuddin, and Siddique Jan despite the piling pressure.
BOL even raised its voice against the torture of Senator Azam Swati and the issue of his personal video leak.
The channel has issued a press release in this regard maintaining that the organization has been braving illegal attempts by different State departments and they are now trying to confine Shoaib Shaikh to his home so that he could not present in the Court and resultantly Court will recall the suspension order and issue warrant against him.
The channel stood for the Haqeeqi Azadi march and showed the true sentiments of the nation to the world despite the attempts to rule it with a rod of iron.
The latest attempt to downtrodden BOL News is made and it has been tried to confine the CEO BOL Shoaib Shaikh to his home so he could not present in court and resultantly the court will recall the suspension order and issue a warrant against him. However, he is a firm believer in Allah and he shall appear in Court.
The channel is once again making it clear to the people of Pakistan that it will not turn its back on the nation and will keep working for the freedom of information and freedom of journalism.
