It is being speculated that Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan’s period gangster film may have found a release date. The film, which is written by Vishal Bhardwaj and will be directed by Honey Tehran, may release on 2 October, 2018.
The story of the film is said to be based on journalist S Hussain Zaidi’s novel titled ‘Mafia Queens Of Mumbai’.
Deepika will play mafia queen Rahima Khan, also known as Sapna Didi in the film and Irrfan will essay a local gangster who is in love with her. So he helps her in her mission to kill Dawood Ibrahim.
This untitled film will explore the life of the notorious female don Rahima Khan, also known as Sapna Didi, who is known for attempting to kill Dawood Ibrahim.
Currently, Deepika is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodic drama ‘Padmavati’ with her alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. While Irrfan, on the other hand, is busy with ‘Doob: No Bed Of Roses’ which is written and directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.
