The news of Deepak Perwani joining MQM came as a shock for everyone; since it was happening for the first time that a renowned designer was joining a political party. But yesterday we came to know that he has left MQMQ and is not planning to join any political party for now.
Today Deepak Perwani officially gave the statement of leaving MQM. He said, “As a citizen of Karachi, I recognise the importance and relevance of the political landscape and the very vital contribution of the MQM. During my 25 years of career as a fashion designer I have been apolitical and Karachi has been central to my growth sustenance and pride. I have great respect and regard for Dr. Farooq Sattar . I would like to make it very clear that I have not formally joined any party but will always support causes and charities that will benefit my city and my country. I thank Dr Sattar and wish him and the party every success.”
So this actually means that he has no plans of joining MQM for now. But we wonder what was the actual reason that made him first join the party and then immediately announce that he is not a part of any political party? Whatever maybe the reason, we wish Deepak all the best for whatever plans he has for his future.
