Theories about pairing food items together or apart have always been a part of different cultures and traditions. When it comes to fish and milk, there are a number of different views and delusions associated. However, modern Science seems to brush away these misconception by projecting some seriously logical explanations.
According to modern science and their latest study, these patches can be an outcome of destruction of pigment-forming cells called melanocytes or due to some fungal infection. Vitiligo is a chronic skin condition characterized by portions of the skin losing their pigment. It occurs when skin pigment cells die or are unable to function.
The intake of fish and milk has nothing to do with any disease. Modern Science suggests that taking milk after fish do not harm the normal body functions. The fish and milk combination is as normal as any other pairing in the world. Just make sure these foods are handled properly and safely before consumption, i.e the fish is fresh and cooked well, and the milk or dairy is consumed before their expiry date. Only in people who are actually allergic to fish or who are lactose intolerant that these foods will not be tolerated.
