The 54-year-old actress played Monica Geller in the hit U.S. TV show from 1994 to 2004, with the show going on to become one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. While fans are desperate to see Courteney reunite with her co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry for a remake, Courteney said she doesn’t think it’s much of a possibility, according to the reports.
“People ask us all the time, ‘Will we ever do a remake?’ That was a story about these group of people that are friends in their 30s who are finding themselves. I don’t know if there’s a way to redo it,” Courteney mused.
She then added, “I just don’t see it happening.” On a positive note, Cox did add, “Even though I would do anything to be in a room with all of those people acting and having a great time,” before reiterating, “But I don’t see it happening.”
Whatever the case, let’s not forget that this is the era of revivals and reboots, so Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey could all reunite at some point in time. Fans shouldn’t lose hope just yet.
