Court rejects Qandeel Baloch’s parents appeal to pardon sons

A court rejected on Thursday the appeal of Qandeel Baloch’s parents to pardon their sons accused of killing their daughter.

During the hearing at a model court in Multan, the court asked the parents if they were only pardoning theirs sons and not the others accused in the murder case. The parents of Qandeel replied in the affirmative, local media reported.

Dismissing the petition, the court said that the ruling of the murder case will be done after the court has recorded the testimonies of all the witnesses.

On Wednesday, the parents had submitted an affidavit in the court stating that they have pardoned their sons. The parents also asked the court to wrap up the case.

The social media sensation Qandeel was strangled to death by her brother Muhammad Waseem back in 2016. Waseem had later confessed to killing his sister in the name of ‘honor’. Qandeel’s brother Aslam Shaheen was also nominated in the case.
