The couple tied the knot on the 30th of April at a private ceremony. Bipasha looked elegant in a gold sequined lehenga gown, while Karan Singh Grover looked handsome in an Ivory Tuxedo.
The white-themed reception was held in a South Mumbai hotel. The couple cut their white-and-pink wedding cake, which had two monkeys made on it as they lovingly address each other as “monkey”.
Bipasha Basu wore a red Sabyasachi lehenga as she was dressed as a true Bengali bride. She wore heavily embellished golden lehenga. Bipasha wore heavy kundan jewellery, nath bangles and mang patti. Karan Singh Grover who was wearing a white sherwani, entered amid the sounds of dhols riding a segway.
A grand scale wedding reception was organised by the couple, which was attended by Bollywood A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, along with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, attended the reception and wished the newly-weds. Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt were also present. Sonam Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Tabu, Dia Mirza, director duo Abbas-Mustan, Rohit Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh with wife Genelia, R Madhavan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Neha Dhupia, Karan Kundra, Bipasha’s ex-boyfriend Dino Morea, Sikander Kher, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Karan’s ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ producer friend Siddharth Malhotra with wife and Raj Kundra along with sister-in-law Shamita Shetty. Karan’s co-stars from TV shows ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ and ‘Qubool Hai’, Drashti Dhami and Surbhi Jyoti, respectively, were also present at the function.
Salman, who also attended the reception, said he likes the couple together. “I hope Bipasha and Karan’s pair will last and that’s important,” the 50-year-old actor said.
