Coldplay, a famous British rock band, is going to perform across the border. They are going to play their first ever free show in India. The performance is scheduled in collaboration with the anti-poverty Global Citizen Festival on Friday.
Further details regarding the festival are expected to release on Monday. The money collected from the tickets would be used in order to fight against extreme poverty.
However, the rumors have been surfacing that the tickets would be priced at sky-rocketing amount of INR 25,000. Indians disappointed by the news flooded the Twitter with funny tweets. After the iPhone 7 kidney selling tweets, this might be the best twitter trend of the season.
Just during the start of this year, Coldplay used India as the location for their track ‘Hymn For The Weekend’. However, the footage of Holi infuriated the audience. While, Beyoncé in a matha patti also became the subject of many debates pointing her in spreading cultural in-appropriation.
All has been forgotten, as Coldplay gears up to give its performance of the season! November 19 is the date for lucky fans across the border.
