Clifton Popular defeated defending champions DHA Dabanggs to win the 3rd season of Karachi Tapeball Premier League at Moin Khan Academy ground the other day.
DHA Dabangs won the toss and decided to bat first in the final held under the patronage of Badar Expo Solutions. The defending champion scored 128 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in the first innings.
Clifton Popular in its first innings scored 110 runs and went into the loss of 10 runs while DHA Dabangs scored 87 runs in the second innings and took the lead of total 105 runs.
Clifton Popular achieved the target on the last ball of the last over with the loss of 3 wickets and clinched the title for the first time. Asad Shah was declared as man of the match.
The final was witnessed by President KTPL Javed Miandad, Chairman Zohair Naseer, Former cricketer Haroon Rasheed, Former provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah, UAE’s Bakheet Atiqur Rehmti, and Mayor Karachi Mustaza Wahab.
