The critically acclaimed maestro Ustad Naseeruddin Saami will be collaborating with Grammy-winning producer Ian Brennan.
Irish-American producer has worked with musicians all over the world to bring music diversity to the ears of listeners around the globe and now he has his eyes set on Pakistan.
The producer has joined hands with one of the greatest living classical singers, Ustad Naseeruddin Saami.
In an email conversation, Brennen wrote, “I am most honoured to come to Pakistan and work with such a master musician as Ustad Naseeruddin Saami.”
“It is so vital that the depth of Pakistan’s wonderful music tradition be more greatly shared around the globe.”
Referring to the political situation of America with Islam and Muslims, he added: “Never before has there been a more important time for countries around the world to gain an appreciation of Islam’s positive, loving, and profound spirituality.”
Ustaad Naseeruddin Saami who has been awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance awards for his efforts in keeping the classical music tradition alive is eager to work with Brennan after hearing the producer’s work. “There is honesty in this music,” the maestro remarked, adding that “it tells the story of the musician and the place to which he belongs.”
