Cillian Murphy in Talks to Join ‘A Quiet Place’ Sequel

After the success of A quiet place John Krasinski is returning to direct the untitled sequel for Paramount. The movie grossed $340 million at the global box office last year. Since then, the film has won several awards, including the Screen Actors Guild Award for Blunt in the supporting actress category.

He’s been working on the script for the sequel  and announced last month he was directing. Cillian Murphy is in talks to join sequel along with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe.

Cillian Murphy is a great actor with a lot of fantastic credits to his name, The actor would reportedly portray “a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.” Best case scenario? The Abbott children have to deal with homicidal space monsters and a new step-dad. And we have a feeling we’re not looking at a best case scenario.

Murphy stars as a crime boss in the BBC’s “Peaky Blinders.” He played the villain Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.
