Chris Hemsworth is set to star as the wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan in his biopic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Todd Philips and writer Scott Silver, the duo behind the upcoming Joaquin Phoenix starrer The Joker, are set to take on this project.
The biopic will focus on Hulk Hogan’s rise to fame, an origin story for the Hulkster, and the Hulkmania that came with it. One of the biggest names from the World Wrestling Federation – Now known as WWE – Hogan was one of the hero personas on the 80’s, with his star power lending him several cameos in movies and televisions and several endorsements along with titular video games.
The film will be a Netflix original and has no release date as of yet. As per our knowledge proper production will kick off after the DC movie’s release on October 4.
