“My child will have Mirza-Malik as surname” – Sania Mirza

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has said that her child will carry the surname Mirza Malik when she and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik choose to begin a family.

Talking at the Gender Bias board at the ‘Goa Fest 2018’, the tennis player discussed her own involvement about sexual orientation inclination and how her significant other needs a “little girl”, revealed Indian media.

“Today I will reveal to you a mystery. My better half and I have talked about it and we have chosen that at whatever point we have a child, the youngster will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not simply Malik. With the goal that’s the place we remain as a family including my better half. He really needs a little girl”, she said.

She additionally discussed her family where her relatives have chatted with her relatives, about having a child so he can convey the family name.

“We are two sisters and have never longed that we had a sibling. I have had battles with my uncles and close relatives, who discuss it or come up and tell my relatives that they ought to have had a child. For us, little girls are little girls and there was not at all like needing a child to convey the family name forward” she said.

`”I have not changed my surname (post marriage) and my name is still Sania Mirza and it will remain that way. The family name will go ahead,” she included.

The 31-year-old who hails from Hyderabad wedded Shoaib Malik in 2010 said that compensation difference amongst men and ladies players exists in sports and an exit from it is to change the outlooks of individuals towards ladies players.
