Ahsan Khan is now a part of the much-awaited drama Alif.
The serial, directed by Haseeb Hasan and produced by Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun, also stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Noman Ijaz, Kubra Khan and Sajal Aly.
“It’s a beautiful story centred around spirituality. I’ve never heard a story told from this angle in a Pakistani drama before; it will take you into a fantasy world. I’m sure Haseeb [the director] will make a painting out of this, it will be a visual treat. I play a pivotal role, my character’s name is Taha. He’s in a way inspired by Rumi, not like a writer but he’s just lost in thoughts of otherworldliness. The drama features five main characters that are totally integral to the story; if you even move one out of the equation, everything would change.”
“The dialogues and the cast are amazing and I think they’ve chosen the perfect actors for each character. I can’t wait for this to go on air,” he added.
Haseeb in his previous interview had revealed that Umera Ahmed who is the writer odf the drama came out of a hiatus to write this serial: “Alif is the revered first letter of Allah’s name, and the serial will be related to that.”
