Celebrations are in order for Pakistan’s cricket team as they beat New Zealand rather gracefully on Wednesday. The boys in green definitely deserve a standing ovation for their brilliant performance against New Zealand.
Their victory has not only given a boost to our hopes regarding Pakistan’s trip through to the semi-finals but the match also gave us a few proud moments.
Babar Azam hit a century in yesterday’s match and is the first Pakistan middle order batsman to achieve this feat after 32 years, since the 1987 World Cup.
Upon Pakistan’s victory, many celebrities took to Twitter to express their happiness and joy:
Congratulations to our cricket team for a great comeback. Congratulations especially go to Babar, Haris and Shaheen for their brilliant performances.
