Many people from your mother to your mentor may have warned you not to burn bridges, but as you get older and wiser you get to know that not everyone deserves to be in your life. In life you will get many opportunities that will challenge your physical, mental and social strength. So, sometimes it’s okay to burn the bridges to reach your opportunities.
Why would you subvert yourself by burning your bridges? Burning your bridges means that you are limiting your choices and your opportunities in life.
You should meet and treat people the way you wish to be treated. Be in touch with as many people as you can or want to and enjoy your relationships to the fullest as they won’t last forever and if anyone decides to burn bridges, let them.
In your love life..
If you are in a relationship that is not getting you anywhere but creating problems, you should get out of it. I would like to share my personal experience and as I have heard and I see many women sacrifice everything, their career, their goals, ambitions, to be in a relationship that leads them to nowhere but depression, which should not happen. If your partner does not value your abilities and your skills it’s time to move on. Your partner should be someone with their own aspirations and ambition and does not latch onto yours.
“Being alone is better than sitting next to a lover and feeling lonely”.
In your Job..
Life is too short to cry over anything, even if it’s your job. If you cannot accommodate you should leave it and experience new opportunities in your life and face challenges. You should take risks in your life because running from them will only create problems and will not help you in being stronger. But facing them will make you stronger and believe in yourself. You can overcome any problem or hardships that come along your way if you believe in yourself. So, if one needs to burn the bridges to reach their destination and meet their goals they should not hesitate to do so, because sometimes you get the best light from the burning bridge.
Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
