The legendary pop star took the stage at Preston Park in Brighton, England, to headline the city’s Pride festival in front of a record-breaking crowd of over 50,000 people. Though Spears garnered acclaim for the high-octane performance, one embarrassing moment from the show went viral on Twitter over the weekend.
As the adoring crowd cheered her on after the second song of her set, the singer turned to one of her backup dancers and asked, “Where are we?” presumably unaware that her microphone was still on.
After the dancer whispered into her ear, Spears turned to the crowd and screamed, “What’s up, Brighton Pride?!”

Regardless of the slight hiccup, the rest of the performance went smoothly, and Spears took to social media afterward to thank the crowd for being so supportive during the fun show.
“Brighton Pride…. all 57,000 of you are perfectly beautiful. Heard it was a record breaking turnout!!! Thank you for a fabulous show…my fabulous fans. I love you all,” she captioned a video of the crowd.
In two subsequent posts, Spears proclaimed that she had “so much love to my UK fans” and that she’s “always loved the UK and this night just made me love it even more.”
Britney Spears is next scheduled to perform in Germany as her Piece of Me Tour continues to travel the world.
