The British Consulate General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, adopted Islam and renamed it Seif Usher. He also renamed him with a verified Twitter handle.
A photo of him standing in the courtyard of the Holy Prophet’s Mosque in Medina circulates on social media. A few days ago he shared the same photo on his Twitter account. “I am very happy to be back in my favorite city, Medina, to pray for Fazil at the Prophet’s Mosque,” he said.
A message of appreciation and congratulations arrived on the social media of the British Consulate General. Muslims pray for him and wish him good luck. He also thanked him for receiving warm wishes from Muslim members on social media. Social media star Mutah Wassin Shabazz Beale, well known as Napoleon, covered the news on Twitter. Muta is a former member of Tupac’s rap group Outlawz. Beer has since converted to Islam and is now a motivational speaker.
Usher added that he’s looking forward to the return of British Muslims to Madina. “There were over 100,000 visitors each year (before the Covid crisis). I am sure that this number will increase as the wonderful development of facilities and infrastructure continues in the Kingdom.”
He was pictured in a white robe while performing pilgrimage. He had been based in Saudi Arabia since 2015. Collis had served several Middle Eastern countries including Syria, Iraq, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, and India as well.
