The winter and the cooler temperature are here already so pack yourself up with the hoodies, shrugs, shawls and all woolen stuff. While the winter month’s means holidays, parties and shopping (3 of my favorite things!) it also means one thing for most of us dry (really dry) skin. Don’t let the thought of reptile skin bum you out.
Switch to cream blush/eye shadow: During the winter months our bodies (and faces) produce less moisture, so it is important to use make-up products that do not dry out your skin. Cream blushes and shadows will add a soft, dewy glow without drying out your face.
Moisturizing foundation: Just as it is important to switch from powdered blushes and eye shadows during the winter months it is also important to switch your foundation to a cream based alternative. A moisturizer and SPF is the perfect weapon to fight off scaly, dry winter skin.
Fight dry skin: Moisturizer is not the only product to combat dry skin, there are many beauty regimes, and try using a dandruff shampoo in place of your normal cleanser once a month, the shampoo reduces the yeast level that causes dry skin.
Lip care: It’s not just your skin affected by the cooler temps; lips can easily become dried out and crack in the winter months. To prevent brush lips lightly with tooth brush to exfoliate and use creamy lipsticks to keep lips smoother
Skin maintenance: To keep skin looking great all holiday party season long exfoliates skin once a week to remove dead cells, pollution and dust. Make it part of your winter routine to cleanse tone and moisturize your face nightly.
So keep yourself warm, updated and fresh in wintertime 🙂
