Asim Abbasi’s directorial debut Cake starring Sanam Saeed, Aamina Sheikh and Adnan Malik in lead roles has been winning the hearts of critics and fans worldwide.
It has now emerged that Cake has found a fan across the border and that too in filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has several critically acclaimed films including Gangs of Wasseypur and Dev D to his credit.
In a Twitter post, Kashyap wrote, “Asim Abbasi’s “Cake” is such a powerful film…so happy that I am in a country and city that it was playing on screen. Went to see it because Aarti Bajaj edited it and read about it in Sight and Sound…but wow Asim Abbasi, Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed, Adnan Malik…just everyone.”
