We all have been a victim of bullying in school or university life, but did we know that even celebrities were bullied during their school life? Here are some of the celebrities who became a victim of bullying in school and instead of losing heart they took that in their stride and moved on!
Priyanka Chopra:
In a recent interview with a magazine, Priyanka revealed how she became a victim of bullying while she was studying in the US. She said, “There was this girl who was a major bully. I think she didn’t like me because her boyfriend liked me, or some high school dynamic. She made my life hell. She used to call me names and would push me against the locker. High school’s hard for everybody. That girl in school used to call me Curry.”
Hrithik Roshan:
Hrithik was mercilessly mocked and bullied for his stammering problem as a kid. Hrithik never gave two pennies about these comments and went on to becoming one of the top stars in Bollywood.
Arjun Kapoor:
Arjun Kapoor was often bullied, taunted and scrutinized for his “not-so-perfect” body. This criticism served as a motivation for him, and thus, he is where he is now.
Sonakshi Sinha:
Sonakshi was also mocked for her weight just like Arjun Kapoor. But, the woman did some kickass stunts and shocked every individual who pressurized her for all the wrong reasons.
Karan Johar:
Karan Johar was bullied for being a chubby kid. That condemnation made him groom himself and his transformation is a proof of confidence and self-appraisal.
Abhishek Bachchan:
Abhishek Bachchan’s dyslexia was revealed in Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’, and we think it takes great courage for an actor of his stature to come out in the open about such a crucial yet less-known disorder. Due to his nature of being a slow-learner, he was often mocked at school.
Sidharth Malhotra:
It was shocking to know that an actor like Sidharth was bullied as a kid, by his own brother. It is said that he was often beaten up by his older brother, and this acted as a driving force for him that helped him build a built that makes us go oh wow! Guess his performance in ‘Brothers’ was a result of his real-life experience.
Fawad Khan:
Fawad Khan also opened up about being teased and bullied in school. He was “the quiet one”, he says, and because of that he was targeted but he laughs at it now.
If anyone of you are being bullied in school, just think about all these celebrities and try to move on!
