Aretha Franklin’s funeral made headlines for multiple reasons, one being her success and commendable work secondly Ariana Grande performance. Somewhere between all this there was bishop Charles Ellis III who invited Ariana Grande onstage and that when the disaster started. Bishop held Grande and walked towards the podium, the discomfort was obvious. The later stood together and talked where bishop made a lame joke.
About how her name sounded like an item on Taco Bell. He then groped Grande and the discomfort along with his hand on Grande’s breasts were seen. She stood there acting all normal but every singe person watching that scene could tell what’s going on. Twitter outraged and Trevor Noah (host) pointed out the situation, people were going crazy and calling out Bishop.
He now apologized in a video where he talked about the incident saying “It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast…. I don’t know , I guess I put my arm around her.” He further added;
“Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again I apologize.”
He also personally apologized to Ariana and asked for her forgiveness.
