Angelina Jolie has spoken out about her ongoing divorce from Brad Pitt, and revealed that she was diagnosed last year with Bell’s palsy, a medical condition which can cause temporary paralysis of the facial muscles.
According to the actress, the Bell’s palsy, which she says she has now successfully cured through acupuncture, caused one side of her face to droop.
“Sometimes women in families put themselves last,” she told Vanity Fair in a new interview, speaking about her diagnosis, “until it manifests itself in their own health.”
The marriage began suffering in the summer of 2016 while she was in post-production on her fifth directorial venture, First They Killed My Father, a Netflix film about Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge genocide.
“Our lifestyle was not in any way a negative,” she asserted.
She admits to maintaining a strong front for her kids: “I think it’s very important to cry in the shower and not in front of the children. They need to know that everything’s going to be all right even when you’re not sure it is.”
So where does she stand with her ex now?
