Anday Wala Burger is transcending borders now.. Are we going to see it on McDonald’s Global menu too?

What started off as a prank by the Pakistani comedian and influencer, Ali Gul Pir, demanding ‘anday wala burger’ at different restaurants, ended up with McDonald’s accepting the challenge to fulfill it. Trending at number 1 on Twitter, the #AndayWalaBurger took the internet by storm and major personalities like Shahbaz Taseer, Cynthia D Ritchie and even the MD of Careem, Junaid Iqbal joined the bandwagon.

With thousands of people supporting Ali Gul Pir and an increasing public demand, McDonald’s finally launched its own #AndayWalaBurger called the McDonald’s Bun Kabab on 1st of April, 2019.

The McDonald’s Bun Kabab was warmly welcomed by bun kabab-lovers across the country. However, Pakistanis living abroad felt left out and started demanding the coveted #AndayWalaBurger at McDonald’s all over the world.

We would like to thank McDonald’s Pakistan for coming up with something that is the absolute definition of our culture and also promotes Pakistani street food. This local addition to the menu has made waves across the globe and might even lead to it being added to the McDonald’s menu worldwide. This would not only portray a positive image of Pakistan, but also put us on the global front among other innovative international specialties.

Do you think the Anday Wala Burger should be given a permanent place in the menu at McDonald’s globally? Let us know!
