1.Tell us about your early childhood and educational background?
My early childhood was quite similar to all the other kids, busy playing games on the streets and flying kites.Whereas, after becoming a doctor, I went for specialization in cardiac surgery. After doing my graduation in medicine and surgery I went to US and opened six high end luxury diamond stores, amid which I came back to Pakistan and opened Diamond Direct a beautiful store on a beautiful location in Lahore. I chose to invest in this field because jewels never get rotten, neither is it going to go lose its value.And if you need money for your rainydays you can always sell your gold & gems and cash it out.
2. From patients to diamonds how has the transition been?
There was a major turning point in my life in the year 2017 when I got diagnosed with fourth stage colon cancer, it was an extremely horrifying time of my life. Going through a lot of chemo-therapies, surgeries, and radiations, but I did not give up and kept on working as an investor and a business advisor and took care of my stores. It was the biggest test on my faith but all the pain that I felt on my body and soul strengthened me, it gave me much more strength as a human and made me a much stronger person that I am now. As the saying goes, “you are going to hit the worst time when God is planning to elevate you to another level”So, it actually became true for me. Fighting this battle was one of the toughest times for me but I finally got out of it. I have been awarded with the most inspiring personality in the jewelry industry in United States.All the diamonds that we have at our outlet in Lahore are certified and imported from USA. We have a location here in Lahore and in a month or two and we are opening our outlet in Islamabad as well, we also have offices in Dubai and Hong Kong, we also have stores in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. All our stores are the most followed stores in the southeast region which is another blessing.
3. Tell us about your achievements?
As I mentioned earlier that I was awarded with the most inspiring personality of the year in the jewellery industry in USA, hence I feel blessed to be awarded with this honor out of 50,000 jewelry stores all across US. I believe. I alone do not deserve the credit, this achievement is based on my team and their hard work, of course, I was guiding them, I was giving them ideas, but they were the main strength. We also won the Wedding Wire awards consecutively from 2017 to 2023. Having said that, all my stores are award winning stores in the Wedding Wire.
4.Where does Diamond Direct luxury import its diamonds from?
All my merchandise is imported from USA, all the diamonds that we have are from the US, all our brands are affiliated and certified and not even a one single ring is from any other country. The bottom line is, all the merchandise that I carry are from USA.
5. How Beneficial is it investing in Diamonds?
Investment in diamonds is much more of a common trend now, having said that, of course, gold has always been a good investment whereas, I do believe diamond is taking over. We have a vast variety of diamonds starting from 0.20 carat to almost 8 carat. I assure you no one can beat our prices because we are the wholesalers and not retailers. And I challenge that no one can beat our prices, we are the first ones to bring in yellow diamonds. We have all different kinds of bracelets, earring, rings and solitaires, in yellow diamonds that definitely carries more value than the regular diamonds. Hence, to sum up diamonds are the best investment opportunity for people who believe in investing and securing their money.
