Apperently, boxer King Amir Khan could lose half of his estimated fortune worth £25 million in his divorce battle with wife Faryal Makhdoom.
The couple suddenly split in a bitter public quarrel on the social media giant site Twitter earlier this month, which appears to be getting worse with time.
According to a reports, Faryal could be set to get half of the wealth of the British-Pakistani boxer in divorce proceedings.
“The starting point will be a 50:50 division of all assets,” solicitor Harold Walker told an international newspaper.
“His lawyers might argue that his cash is tied up in family businesses and investments but that will make no difference apart from to draw the process out.
“He will be told to break-up any firms and sell any investments to make sure he can pay the money into court.”
Moreover, Amir could also lose custody of his daughter Lamaisah as well as their upcoming baby – meaning he could also be hit with child support.
Faryal announced a week ago she is expecting the estranged couple’s second baby in February.
However, she has told her friends that she will raise the baby alone as the pair continue their divorce battle. She also recently cropped the boxer out of images.
“Faryal’s announcement came as a shock to everyone involved but she doesn’t want anything more from Amir now,” her friends said.
