Turkey is a really nice place to go with family and friends, there are many places to visit and have fun. But the main problem most of the people are facing is language barrier as Turkish people don’t speak any other language and don’t even want to try and understand other languages. If you know Turkish or knows how to translate and convey your message to them then it is easy otherwise it is very hard to communicate with them. Specially when in Istanbul airport you really need to know where you need to head out. Many people misses their flights at the airport as there are no subways or trains to go from one gate to another and they loses their way as they have no guidance of any person telling or explaining them the way in any language except for Turkish. The airport experience of many people are not very good even though it is a tourist place but it is very hard to survive at Istanbul airport if you don’t have internet access to translate the language into Turkish. The gates are closed 45 minutes before the departure and the person giving the boarding passes fails to guide you how and where you should go so you have to be very active with the timings. Also the airport is very far away from the centre so you have to travel at least 2 more hours after the flight if you are planning to go in the centre of the city.
In different cities they have extremely different stories and experiences. In Bodrum, Gumbet the vibe is very lively and happening also there are mostly tourists as it is a small mountain beach which is a tourist spot. The views are very beautiful and the people are welcoming but it is a bit pricy as compared to other cities but totally worth it. People mostly travel in mini buses within the city rather than using taxi as it is very expensive even if you are moving from one street to another.
Antalya as compared to Gumbet is less lively but has really amazing vibes with beautiful beaches all around the city. So many water activities can be done at Antalya like Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Jetski, Flyboarding, Banana boat and many other activities. Street food of Turkey is famous and is cheaper as compared to the restaurants.
Istanbul is the main city and obviously the most crowded city in Turkey. There are many museums, tourist spots and lively streets like Istiklal street Taksim Square Galata tower which is never dull, you will find people there even in the midnight. Both sides of Istanbul is beautiful in its own way whether it is Asia or Europe.
Your domestic travels must be pre planned otherwise you will face issues to communicate at the bus stops or airport terminals to find your way.
Turkey is amazing and a must go to place to spend tour vacations with your friends and family, If you are planning in Winters it is extremely cold and full of snow while in Summers it is the hottest place to go but everyone should visit Turkey once in their life.
