This is the real endgame, looks like the Spiderman 3 curse is real.
Today is a sad day for all the Marvel/Sony/Disney fans as it was announced, Spiderman will no longer be part of MCU Universe.
Yes this is a shocking news, Marvel Studios is set to part ways with Sony Pictures Spider-Man franchise.
The decision will effectively remove the version of Peter Parker played by Tom Holland from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, separating arguably the most iconic Marvel comics superhero from the most successful superhero movie franchise of all time.
The reason behind this is money: Disney reportedly asked that future Spider-Man films be 50 / 50 coproductions between Disney and Sony, instead of the current deal, which is said to give Marvel and Disney 5 percent of gross box-office revenue.
Sony nor Disney shared much box office grosses from each other’s use of the Spider-Man character.
Far From Home, as it happens, just surpassed Skyfall as Sony Pictures’ highest grossing film worldwide of all time, with $1.1 billion. Far From Home also happens to be the only global mega-blockbuster this year that wasn’t financed and released by Disney.
So when Sony didn’t agree to the terms, Disney said fine, removed Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios as producers of Sony’s future Spider-Man films, and kicked the character out of the MCU sandbox.
To be honest this Spiderman storyline was up-to the mark due to disney, with huge sets and link to Marvel Universe. The story was halfway supported by Ironman, so without them its not top notch.
So lets see what happens, as two Spiderman movies were already announced or doomed. And if this is the final verdict, Sony has once again runied its Superman Franchise.
