As the countdown begins to one of the most prestigious award ceremony of the year – The Academy Awards 2017; Indian movies have a bright shot at making it to the top.
Omung Kumar’s directorial Indian film ‘Sarbjit’ has made it to the long list of 336 feature films eligible for the upcoming 89th Academy Awards along with Sushant Singh Rajput’s M.S. Dhoni.
The film features the Miss World 1994 pageant winner Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who portrays the narrative role of Sarabjit’s sister, Dalbir Kaur, while Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumar play supporting roles. On the other hand, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, a biopic is based on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Omung Kumar wishes best for both the films and said,
“Whichever film wins, it will be a proud moment for India. I wish both ‘Sarbjit’ and ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’ do well.”
