After doing a glamorous role in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might be seen playing completely different character in the remake of 1967 release ‘Raat Aur Din’. The original classic film starred Nargis Dutt in the lead role.
“The film is ready to go on floors and is expected to be shot in Europe mid-next year. Aishwarya has also shown interest in the Raat Aur Din adaptation, details of which are expected to be finalised soon,” according to sources.
Aishwarya is likely to play the role of a woman who suffers from multiple personality disorder in the film, which is being produced by Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor under their banner KriArj Entertainment.
On being asked about the possibility of the remake, producer Prerna Arora said to a leading gossip portal, “We are collaborating together on a thriller to be directed by a debutant director. Siddharth and I are co- producing the film. I had spoken to Sanjay Dutt sir about it. I am in talks with her and it’s my wish that she does it. She has not confirmed it as yet.”
Raat Aur Din is a film about a married woman who suffers from multiple personality disorder. She’s is a homemaker during the day, but takes on another identity at night.
