It hasn’t been a long time when the famous Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam voiced out and expressed his discomfort on hearing of ‘Azaan’ early morning. Keeping his fan following in mind and how he labeled Azaan as forced religiousness, people came forward and bashed him. And I’m so sure that he might have lost a huge chunk of fan following too.
Just recently, another Singer/actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi labeled Azaan as not ‘civilised’.
The actress took to twitter complaining about the sound of Azaan after reaching home early in the morning. She took to twitter and wrote:
came home at 4.45 am 2 most aggressive/ ear shattering call of azaan. Nothing more lowlife & dumb than such extreme imposed religiousity

Playing Azaan early in the morning is forced religiousness – Sonu Nigam

However, this is not the first time that an opinion like this has surfaced on the internet. People like Sonu Nigam who has a huge fan following including Muslims around the world tweeted a similar opinion regarding the sound of Azaan, to which he later apologized and clarified his intention behind the tweets.
