Actors tend to cross the line, get addicted to depression: Shaan Shahid!

People often expect celebrities to have a thick skin just because they are in the limelight, and forget about the struggles they must face inward. Earlier this week, actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider opened up about his battle with depression in a distressing post on Facebook. The post garnered a lot of attention from fans and fellow celebrities alike, who showed tremendous support for the actor, and left words of encouragement and love for the actor.

However, not all actors hold the same kind of compassion and empathy for a fellow actor who is suffering from the worst of it all. Actor Shaan Shahid, popularly known as Shaan, also pitched in with his two cents in a Tweet, and is apparently taking an insensitive dig at Haider’s troubled state. He also reduced something as grave as depression to a “tool” which actors use to achieve the right kind of expressions. Talk about the height of insensitivity and lack of awareness.

Earlier, Haider shared a video where he was thankful for all the love and support that he received. “We all are suffering in our lives one way or another. Sometimes, we feel like talking about it and it actually really helps. It helped me a lot,” he said. “I’m not the kind of person who would share his personal life publicly. But when you surpass your limits, I think that’s when talking about it becomes a necessity. And that’s exactly what I did,” he added.
Moreover, this is not the first time the renowned actor has taken jabs at fellow actors. A few years ago, he started an unnecessary #BanMawra campaign against actress Mawra Hocane, for her views on terrorism. He was also found saying petty things about actor Humayun Saeed, like how ARY was the only thing the Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actor had over him.
