Veteran actor Vinod Khanna passed away on Thursday morning. The actor was 70 years-old. He was reportedly suffering from cancer and was admitted to a hospital in South Mumbai.
The actor was admitted to Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai last month recently due to severe dehydration.

Vinod Khanna was seen in lead roles in popular films, including Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Gaddaar, Jail Yatra, Imitihaan, Inkaar, Kuchhe Dhaage, Amar Akbar Anthony, Rajput, Qurbani, Kudrat, Dayavan, Kaarnama, Suryaa: An Awakening and Jurm.
He started his career by doing negative and small second lead roles.
Vinod Khanna received the Filmfare award in the best supporting actor category for Haath Ki Safaai. In 1999, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and lifetime achievement award at the Zee Cine Awards in 2007.
