As performance songs come, the Pakistani film industry has tried their hand at them and splicing them into local movies. While some have garnered points for effort it’s never quite left the impact that one would expect. Since Chaudhry The Martyr made its cinematic debut on the 24th of June, whispers of a performance song that has pulled out all the stops have been exchanged between cinema goers as well as industry big wigs and journalists.
“Aatish” featuring the magnetic and ever talented Amna Ilyas in three distinctive looks has all the makings of a true performance song. The actress and model’s boldness shines through her immaculate dance moves as well as her expressions. Choreographed by the multitalented Wahab Shah and make up by Arshad Khan along with Hunny Haroon as the costume stylist, the effort can be seen in each visible detail throughout in these exhilarating three minutes.
Though there are varied reviews and comments as there are with each work of art, Aatish serves as a testimony to the fact that teamwork along with fiery and unwavering talent (Amna Ilyas) can achieve just about anything!!
