Actor Aamir Khan steps up against the predators present in the industry. Aamir Khan announced that he won’t be a part of Gulshan Kumar’s biopic Mogul.
The reason of stepping down was that the director of this film Subash Kapoor was accused of molestation. This decision was made public in a joint statement by actor, filmmaker and wife Kiran Rao. The duo explained how Aamir Khan productions have zero tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct and predatory behavior of any kind. They added how they will keep on working towards making this industry a safer place.
The statement included “Two weeks ago when traumatic #MeToo stories began emerging, it was brought to our attention that someone we were about to begin working with has been accused of sexual misconduct. Upon inquiry we found that this particular case is sub-Judice and that the legal process is in motion.”.
