Muslims candidates elected in US Elections 2020!

A great political boost for American Muslims as four Muslims are among those who have been elected in the US Elections 2020.

As Muslims played a vital role during Election Day 2020, about 70% of Muslims voted for Biden. On the other hand, these were the Muslims that were elected in the US Elections. However, it is also being said that muslims have played a major role in helping the democratic party to win the elections 2020.

The below mentioned elected Muslim candidates will sworn to their positions on January 2021.

Rashida Tlaib

Rashida Harbi Tlaib is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 13th congressional district since 2019.

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district since 2019. She is a member of the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party.

This is the second term that was won by Ilhan, 38, successfully defeated Lacy Johnson, who belonged to the Republican party.

Iman Jodeh

Iman Jodeh is a Palestinian American politician from Colorado.She is also a member of the Democratic Party. Iman Jodah has been elected the State House representative for Colorado. Iman Jodah is a Palestinian American.

Mauree Turner

Mauree Turner, a community organizer and Criminal justice reform activist elected from Oklahoma City District 88.
