All the impossible things happening in 2020!! But here’s one thing we like about this year is Unilever India announced to change the brand name of its Fair & Lovely product range.
“We recognize that the use of the words ‘fair’, ‘white’ and ‘light’ suggest a singular ideal of beauty that we don’t think is right, and we want to address this,” said Unilever India’s president of beauty and personal care division, Sunny Jain.
Subject to approval from regulatory authorities, the new brand name will be announced soon. The company however shared its plan to make a more diverse range of beauty products and aim at being inclusive regardless of skin color.
“We are making our skincare portfolio more inclusive… a more diverse portrayal of beauty,” said Chairman Sanjiv Mehta.
