Well, we think it’s a very great step by Sajal Aly considering the tension between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir Issue. Pakistani celebrities are playing their role in addressing the problems of the Kashmiris by being quite vocal about it on various forums.
Talking about the revival of the Pakistani film industry, Sajal thinks that television actors have played a vital role. She also acknowledges the efforts of directors and producers.
Where India banned Pakistani actors to work in Bollywood, Pakistan also put a complete ban on Bollywood films in the local cinemas. Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) also issued a notice to local channels to forbid them from airing advertisements with Indian actors.
Last month, famous Indian singer Mika Singh landed in trouble for performing at an event in Karachi and the Indian authorities banned him forever from acting, singing and performing in Bollywood. The singer later had to apologize for performing in Pakistan as he faced a lot of hatred from his own countrymen.
