Zayn Malik’s sister has got married just three days after turning 17 – but the One Direction star was nowhere to be seen. Safaa wed her boyfriend Martin Tiser in a traditional Nikkah ceremony in Bradford.
Moments after the marriage images had been uploaded on social media, and other people started criticizing Safaa Malik for getting married at a younger age. There was a good quantity of trolling as nicely.
Her mum, Trisha, shared photos of the family from the event, but Zayn, 26, was nowhere to be seen.
She captioned the photos with: “My baby girl’s big day.”
The whole family was in attendance apart from the singer – who is currently based in the US – including sisters Doniya, 28, and Waliyha, 28, as well as Zayn’s dad Yaser.
“Zayn may be an international superstar, but he is incredibly close to his family and will do anything he can to help them.” Zayn split up with his long term, on-again-off-again girlfriend Gigi Hadid again earlier this year.
Zayn is living in the States but continues to help financially support his family, even buying them a house out of the money he made from One Direction.
