Junoon- The band is now ‘Unstoppable’ as they are touring London after 14 years

After 13 years, South Asia’s top band Junoon from Pakistan, had made a come-back to ignite Pakistan’s music industry once again on the birth anniversary of the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in December 2018 which was called as the House-full show. This time the band has announced their second international tour in London also called as ‘The Come-back Tour’, the first one was held in Dubai.

The Sufi-band is all set to perform the concert on a weekend August-25th in London at SSE ArenaWembley.

On 19th August Junoon announced to dedicate this concert to the people of Kashmir on the basis of  black-out in the city due to the curfew and abrogation of Article 370 by an Indian government. Not to forget Junoon is the only band that had performed in Indian-Occupied Kashmir in 2008 in the absence of Ali Azmat and Brian O’Connell.

Salman Ahmad stated “UK shows are always special for us as it is home to many Pakistanis, who have supported us all over the years. Moreover, we are excited to perform for them once again.”

Let’s recall the memory this band has given to us and let the nostalgia hits us: Junoon was formed 29 years ago in 1990. The band includes master mind Salman Ahmed who was known as the lead guitarist from Vital Signs, Ali azmat whose voice never fails to fire up the octave, was known from the local band Jupiters in Lahore in late 1980’s and the bassist, Brian O ‘Connell.

The Trio released almost numerous albums and world-famous songs such as Sayoonee which remained in the spotlight even in between the 13 years. Junoon emphasized more on spiritual songs like Khudi, Sayeen and Bulleh Shah that awakened the youth of Pakistan with an idea of Sufism along with an essence of Rock genre. Hence, Junoon was awarded one of the best band in South Asia who had performed in the world’s significant places like UNO, CNN, and BBC, no other band has reached to this level yet.
