The British Australian singer Kylie Minogue, known for her iconic songs like Can’t Get You Out of My Head, has achieved a new high in her two decades long career. The 51-year old singer released her latest album ‘Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection’ on June 28, and it has now topped the UK Music chart for seventh time!
Kylie has previously made it to UK number one with her songs like Loco-motion and Especially For You, and now with her latest record she has become number second to Madonna who has made it to number one on the chart for 12 times.
In addition to Kylie, Coldplay, Elton John, Barbra Streisand and Take That have also reached UK music chart’s top seven times each.
Kylie’s team surprised and celebrated the success with the singer by making a ‘love tunnel’ for her. Just as the singer walked through the tunnel, her team chanted “It is the tunnel of love because you are number one”. The album is also being considered as Kylie’s fourth greatest compilation of music.
Soon after the success of her album, Kylie also got a chance to perform at The Pyramid stage at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. The starlet had not been able to perform at the gala for quite a while due to her cancer diagnosis.
