How to stay hydrated this summer!

Keeping yourself hydrated enough in the right way is one of the summer essentials considering the scorching sun and heat-wave. But the question is how do we maintain our body temperature and keep ourselves hydrated without being water-logged or sprinting to the bathroom every five minutes?

  •  Replace sugar-containing foods and beverages with cups of fruits and vegetables, as they all contain various levels of water and the all-important nutrient potassium, like Cucumbers, Celery, Tomatoes, radishes, bell peppers, watermelon, Spinach, strawberries, broccoli, Grapefruit and etc.

  •  Coconut water is packed with potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. This natural beverage can be incredibly refreshing for your body. Try freezing coconut water ice cubes or pops for a refreshing, hydrating summer treat.

  •  Make sure to keep a check on your urine color as it can be an indication of your hydration status. If the color is too dark that means you need to level up your water intake. If your urine is a light color, it’s likely that you are properly hydrated.

  • Beware of how much you sweat. The more you sweat, the more fluids you’ll need to increase your water intake. Excessive sweating can be an issue too, for that consultation should be taken immediately. Also, avoid wearing dark colors, go for light and breathable fabrics.
