Much has been said and written about Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan’s brewing romance but while Sara has often expressed that she has a crush on him. Kartik has relatively remained tight-lipped and shy about the romance rumours.
But on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan, the host Karan Johar echoed the sentiments of all Bollywood fans when he asked for a follow-up on what’s happening between the two, given that both have publicly admitted that they want to go on a date with each other and Ranveer Singh has also played cupid for the two. And it’s Kartik’s response that will surely leave you in splits!
Kartik referred to Saif Ali Khan’s comment on one of the previous episodes of Koffee With Karan wherein he had said “if you have money, take her” when asked about the guys eligible for her daughter and said that he’s earning money for the “princess.”
A blushing Kartik said, “So what I’m doing is, sir, I’m just trying to, you know earn more and more money right now. Saif sir said that if you got money just take her…” He added, “I don’t know cause she is a princess. So, you know to ask her out on a date.. you know I would require a certain bank balance.”
Karan then teased Kartik hinting at his alleged affair with Ananya Panday, with whom he will star in the upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh remake, and said, “That’s why you asked Ananya Panday on out on a date and not Sara” leaving both Kartik and his Luka Chhupi co-star Kriti Sanon in splits.
