After all the hits on the big screen, Deepika Padukone is back from with a bang on the sets. She is all powered up to start up her new project with Meghna Gulzar.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh just got free from their wedding phase and now the duo s again back at work. We can see both the celebrities functioning vigorously with their work.
Deepika’s next film project focuses on the storyline of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Reportedly Deepika is excited to put all her efforts bravely and proudly in this role.
Apart from the actress, the film will feature Vikrant Massey who will be seen reprising the role of her partner Alok Dixit. The film has been reportedly titled as ‘Chhapaak’ which means a ‘splash’.
However, the cast is still in progress and the filmmaker said that:”Vikrant is somebody who she is excited to work with, especially after watching him in the Raazi.
She also added that she speaks for both Deepika and herself when she says that they are both really excited to have Vikrant play this part.
Meghna also revealed: ”The film will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi and prosthetics tests are underway.”
According to the director, Deepika agreed to do the film at the end of the narration as it’s such a moving story. The decision to co-produce with Deepika Padukone is the reason because she wanted to remain close to the character the whole time.
