It is confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will be the lead actor in the biopic of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, who is said to be the first Indian to have flied to space.
It’s rumoured that Bhumi Pednekar has been signed opposite Shah Rukh in the film, reportedly titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha.
“We are doing that film with Shah Rukh Khan,” said producer Ronnie Screwvala. “We should begin it by February or March next year, but we haven’t announced the female lead yet.”
The film is also being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. Its script has been written by Anjum Rajabali and it will be directed by Mahesh Mathai.
The film will go on floors in March next year.
