Aaroh has released its brand new single titled Jeet on social media

Aaroh, just like any other every day normal band, has gone through life’s many twisted turn of events.

At first, their founding guitarist Nabeel Nihal Chishty left the band. Second, their vocalist Farooq left the country. Third, their talented new addition to the gang, Haider Hashmi on guitar, passed away after a stifling cry of battling with cancer.

They made their mark through Pepsi’s Battle of the Bands in 2002 by bagging the win, leaving EP at second position.

However, that’s is not end the band recently just released its brand new single titled Jeet on social media.

According to an official statement by Aaroh, “Cricket runs in our veins. Cricket hamari rug rug mei dorta hai. This is the only brief we had in mind for the video and its hit the nail on the head.” The cricket shots interspersed with the band’s performance in a clean looking, technically sound video are a treat to watch.

In an recent interview, the band confirmed that the song was a personal initiative and not funded by any brand, organization or entity. “We have made the video ourselves with our own money,” said Farooq, the band’s vocalist.

To a question as to why they chose this route, Khalid who is the band’s bassist and cricket enthusiast said, “Great way to answer all those queries as to which team are we supporting. We are Pakistanis, we love this country and we wanted in our own way to pay tribute to PSL.”

“The league has done wonders for Pakistan and its image; from not having any local matches to a point where international players are playing in Pakistan. PSL has revived the national spirit. This is why we have paid tribute to everyone involved in this game – from players to fans to even the organizers. This song is about passion and winning spirit,” added Khalid.

With perfect words, an unforgettable tune that is both fresh and nostalgic, this amazing track will leave both music and cricket fans delighted.
