Guess who became the first Pakistani actress to be nominated for best actress at the filmfare Awards?

Pretty excited to know who’s the one making us proud?
Well, we have right here the smart amazing girl “SABA QAMAR” who has won our hearts by her acting skills in Baaghi. It looks like there’s no stopping for the Baaghi actress, Saba Qamar!

She has been nominated as the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) for her performance in the hit film ‘Hindi Medium’ . Playing the mother of a child is not an easy task at all for  any actresses making their debut in Bollywood but Saba managed to ace that and that too along Irrfan Khan. WOW!  Loved her acting and how she took it on the next level and made us to fall in love with her even more.

They have been also nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male) and Best Supporting Actor.
Will Saba win the award or not is not the matter here, but sharing the space with the best actresses is. Sharing the nominations with Sridevi (Mom) and Vidya Balan (Tumhari Sulu) is something not to be ignored. The list also includes Alia Bhatt (Badrinath Ki Dulhania), Bhumi Pednekar (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan) and Zaira Wasim (Secret Superstar).
Tough competition though! “Fingers crossed”

In the past, Nazia Hassan (1981) and Fawad Khan (2015) managed to win the Filmfare trophy for Best Singer and Best Debut Male too.  Recently, singers from this side of the border like Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Quratul Ain Baloch have been nominated in the singing category without winning the award. But still a big deal NO?

The 63rd Filmfare Awards will be held on 20th January 2018, lets see what happens. May the best one wins!
