After making a buzz by their stellar performances in ‘Piku’, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are set to reunite on a biopic of a mafia queen in ‘Sapna Didi’.
The film also brings three stalwarts, Deepika, Irrfan and his frequent collaborator Vishal Bhardwaj, who will be producing the film, together. The film is reportedly going on floors by the end of January next year.
In an interview Prerna shared details about the project and her excitement of first collaboration with Deepika Padukone.
“Vishal sir is in China I believe. He is coming back soon and we will be gearing up for the film. We have preps and recee going on. January end we will hit the floors with the film. We don’t have a title yet but it is a fictional thriller. Deepika will start prepping up after Padmavati. There have been interactions between her and Vishal sir and also between him and Irrfan. Both have had readings with him. Right now, Deepika is busy with Padmavati but I am really looking forward to working with her.”
Bhardwaj’s long-time associate Honey Trehan will helm the crima drama.
