Recently the team of FHM Pakistan met Dr. Aamir Liaquat discussing the social media hype about his journey to Myanmar and how he actually returned.
Aamir Liaquat started off by asking, “Why do people always look at the glass half empty? They should also see that it is half full.” For those who only see and spread negativity for him, criticizing while sitting back in a room cooled by the air conditioner, should at least think twice as the pain that I went through in these past few days, only me and my Allah know.
“I had no plans of going but the thought suddenly came to my mind and I got up in the urge to help those suffering brothers and sisters in Myanmar.”
“We criticise very easily, sitting back without even trying to make any effort, but wouldn’t it be better to actually get up and do something wise & effective, going to a place where people are looking around for help and aid?”
“My trip from Pakistan to Myanmar and back, I gave several clarifications so that there would be no question in anyone’s mind, but I still can’t seem to understand why people are looking to criticise for even the slightest of act?”
He asked again whether people even see the positive and good that he does for people across the nation that he does for the sake and in name of Allah. He claimed that he has never in his life created stories in closed rooms but in fact was always upfront, whether it was heat stroke, the rain storm or sufferings in Myanmar (Burma).
Continuing with his story, Dr Aamir also stated the immediate headlines that were published in one of the leading state-run newspapers Myanmar Times. He was utterly disappointed of the fact how people unknowingly claimed that he and Waqar had never even landed foot in Myanmar and were actually in Bangkok the entire time. For them he showed the boarding pass on his Twitter account that he had attained from Bangkok for Myanmar.
